Business Coaching
As a business owner, I am sure you have found that it can be a lonely journey with little or no support around you.
You had a great idea of leaving the corporate world, setting up your own business with the realisation that it is a lot harder than you originally thought. Not only do you have to deliver, sell, market, attend networking events, bid for business and chase for money, when really all you want to do is the real thing at which you are good.
So, for business owners, it can be a challenging journey with lots of knowledge you need to learn about running a business.
There are a number of key areas that I work on with a business owner:
New clients. It is about getting the right type of clients, clients that will see you as an investment rather than a cost. Clients that will remain loyal to you and recommend you to their network.
Cash flow. You need a strong pipeline to avoid the feast and famine that many businesses owners experience. Clients and referral partners bringing you those clients so you have a steady cash flow and the right type of clients that will pay your bills on time.
Time. This can be the biggest challenge to business owners, if you are networking, and meeting people trying to sell your product or service, this takes time, and the results do not always relate to the efforts you are putting in. Building relationships with the key referral partners who know, like and trust you and who connect you with your target market is the ideal scenario. Selling to a prospect takes a least 8-10 hours of your time, that often you can ill afford.
People. Getting the right people on board to help you grow your company. People that share in your vision and who will have that discretionary effort, or go above and beyond what they are contractually obliged to do. They help your business to get to the next level and represent you and your brand.
Motivation. A lot of business owners tend to lose their motivation. Who is it that inspires you to keep going and who will hold you accountable? We may have many ideas, some which may never see the light of day as you do not have anyone to share with. Who can help us? Who is neutral? Who can be honest and direct with us? Who can encourage us to look again and try a different approach?
Accountability. Who holds you accountable with your vision, your financial goals and day to day actions. Many business owners get lost or caught up in the detail and lose sight of their vision and why they started the company in the beginning.
Health and Mental wellbeing. As a business owner we face challenges at a personal level, that is preventing us from having the success we desire and work hard for. You may well need to confront these challenges that may be deep seated and in our past. Once we have overcome these challenges, we are now free to enjoy the success we desire. We need to make sure that we are achieving balance in life and work.
